Vinod Shemron S is a theologian, ecumenist, and grassroots activist who embodies the ecumenical spirit, passionately and carefully weaving together faith and justice. His journey through movements like the National Council of Churches in India (NCCI) and the Student Christian Movement of India (SCMI) shaped his commitment. He is dedicated to a progressive, pluralistic vision of faith and justice in a multicultural world.

Vinod’s work is grounded in the principle of mission from the periphery. It centers the voices of the oppressed as the heartbeat of God’s liberative work. He combines his academic background in theology with social work. This combination facilitates critical dialogue between ecclesiastical institutions and marginalized communities by caste, class, gender, and sexuality. He uses advocacy, capacity-building, and faith-based engagement. This helps him transform his theology into tangible action. He creates safe and inclusive spaces at the grassroots level.

Vinod’s praxis focuses on transforming both church and society into life-flourishing communities where justice flows and every voice is affirmed. Through writing, training, and public engagement, he continues to build bridges. He fosters communities where diversity is not merely accepted but celebrated.
